Aahhh... I think I understand your setup now. You're running PPPoE (your net.card is connected directly to your ADSL modem)!! That's what confused me.
I've only set up PPPoE a few times and never really played around with it. I assume you can set it up with only one ethernet card.
To be on the safe side: Yes, you would need one more network card.

Where are you seeing the Apache test page? From the 98 box? I'm trying to get my head around this, here I go. You have ADSL thru Modem to Linux RH to Win98? RH box can get on the 'Net fine. 98 can see the test page on the RH box, but cannot get to a public website.

I'm thinking on the same lines as Chris. Try pinging an Internet IP address. PING 66.218.71.198 (yahoo). Are you able to reply to this? If you can reply to this, but not google.com, then it is definately a DNS issue... Thanks,
