Hi all

I have developed an ActiveX DLL in VB for a company program. It is called through JScript on an XML form. It runs fine and all - the problem is that whenever the user clicks on the button, an Internet Explorer message pops up saying - 'Some software on this page (ActiveX controls) may be unsafe. It is recommended that you do not run it. Do you want to allow it to run?' and of course if the user clicks no, all sorts of errors occur. I have tried setting IE Security settings to LOW, enabling everything I can see on the security page all to no avail. ANY help please as we need to get signoff for this and it is creating problems.

As always thanks a lot

look in IE's properties at the Security Tab and click on Custom Level. Try changing some of the stuff in there.
see if that helps!
If that doesn't work you may need to get the control digitally signed... I think veriSign do that but you may have to pay (dunno about personnal use)

also if it's on a local intranet you could set your site up as a "trusted site"
(Security Tab -> IntraNet -> Sites -> Advanced)
