Hello,
The process ufsrestore hung and i cann't kill it even with the kill -9 command. It takes too much resources and the performance is getting worse.

Does anyone have any ideas how to get rid of this process
thanx

I can understand your situation, the system will be really crawling. Try to eject the backup device, if possible. But, i am doubting it will not work. And also once again verify that u have specified correct PID in kill command. Check any child or related process are not running

Atlast the solution to reboot the system.

if you know the process name you can always 'pkill -9 <process-name>' instead of the PID ... can help sometimes ...
