Does anyone have a recommendation for a UPS like APC or Schneider that can carry a load for about 8 hours for an Avaya IP office 8 extension modules phone system and let's say six or seven PCs for a run time of about 8 hours. I'm looking for something that's rack mounted that has multiple battery modules that plug into each other

"APC or Schneider"
It's the same...Schneider makes the APC line.

For 8 hours your best to call the manufactures direct but don't be vague like above, calculate wattage!

Then you have backup electrical wiring from the rack to the work stations.

Maybe you are best to have a UPS at each work station.

Batteries are for temp power outages, generators are for long periods.

Depending on the importance, location/environment/property maybe a gasoline/propane/natural generator comes into play.

Thee Schneider forum can be found here.

I've used Tripp Lite (Eaton) UPSs for quite a while, and haven't had any problems with them. If my memory is correct, Eaton manufactured UPSs for Avaya at one time.
