I have an APC power supply, should I of received software and a connector to the computer for it??? as far as i recall I have just plugged the PC into the proper plug on the APC and plugged the APC to the wall?

Depends on if you wish to run the Powerchute software - if you do you can download the software for free from
Keep in mind that you will need to purchase the communications cable (940-0024C)....

only sertin models come with the cables and software your model might not even have the option to monitor your ups. -need more info.

I bought a very low end APC power bar/UPS (I think a 250VA) for my network switch and firewall and even that little unit came with a USB cable and the software.
