Hi

I have read submitted topics on here on how to upload Auto Attendant greetings to my Avaya IP Office phone system and have done this successfully, however there are little to no articles on how to upload pre-recorded voicemail greetings.

is this possible?

I've attempted to follow the article:

'Record Greeting through phone for required Mailbox ie Main.
In Manager goto File Management.
Browse to folder:\SYSTEM\DYNAMIC\LVMAIL
Track down the MainGREETING xxxxxx.CLP
Convert your professional .WAV file using LVM Greeting Utility and then rename the recording the same as xxxxxx.CLP
Then upolad the .CLP file into folder:\SYSTEM\DYNAMIC\LVMAIL
and allow it to overwrite the existing file.

Volume seems lower than usual but deffo works!'

however cant get that to work?
I made a copy of the greeting I recorded on the phone.
I used LVM greeting Utility to convert the professionally recorded greeting I would like to upload however it doesn't give you an option for voicemail. I've tried selecting 'greeting' and then entered in the EXT number for the voicemail.

with the uploaded file added to \SYSTEM\DYNAMIC\LVMAIL and renamed the same as the manually recorded greeting the system says 'voicemail greeting has not yet been recorded....'

is this possible?

Trying to convert greetings for a customer who wants to get off VMPro and go to Embedded on both sites.
TekTips, being the great resource it is helped me figure out that I was trying to convert files in a bad version of manager. I downloaded 9.0.9 and was able to convert the files and upload them to my test system using the following post:

intrigrant (Programmer)

This is my procedure:
1 convert the wav file to a aa greeting file with the name of the aa
2 upload the file to th AAG folder
3 In SSA I shutdown the SD card
4 Wait ten seconds and start the SD card again
5 Watch in sysmonitor the system to load all embedded vm files, in the end you must see it loads the AA file > may take some time to compltete!
6 then call the AA

never failed for me

It didn't fail for me either.
