Hey, all!I finally got through to my server and posted my homepage. Miracles do happen.

However...something is still not right. Please check my web site address and tell me why it is displaying the way it is and not the homepage.

As it is, you have to click on the "web" file to see the homepage.

Am I missing something simple, here?

Thanks for your help in advance!

You need to upload the index page to your root directory.
It will be the directory above the stats and web directories.
Right now, your index page is located at Depending on your directory, it should be /home or /usr or /www
Some servers use /html
If you could tell us what directories there are above the /web directory or with it, we could tell you where you need to put it.

Thanks for the reply. This is the list of the file location sequence:

C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 3\ym
Inside the "ym" folder is the folder labled "web" and inside that one is the "index.html" homepage.

Here is what tech support at the server told me about the problem:
"It's uploading to an incorrect folder, that's why it's not
resolving on the internet. Under define site, please make sure the server directory or host folder, or remote folder have: /web

It's where your index.html should reside.

NOT

/users/losange/web

Please try it again and let us know."

Hope this helps. I know it's simple but perhaps "too simple" for me!

Thanks again!

Adam

Hmm. I guess I'm not following. I use Dreamweaver, but upload using an FTP program, mainly because I upload programs too, so I am not sure how Dreamweaver does it.
Are you using an FTP program?

Adam, I had that problem. Here is what the techs mean:

Go to Define Sites, Remote Info; under Host Directory put this: /web/

That should solve the problem...good luck!
