Hi, here's a nice easy one for you - we need to copy a batch of 100 or so voice files from one PBX to another. I've backed them up on my PC and have checked the format is correct.

The new announcements are configured on the new PBX annoucement board with the same naming convention - so the old file name matches the new announcement.

I've never used VAL manager before, could someone give me an idiots guide of what I need to do. I can connect to the boards and see all the announcements that I need to upload to. I was looking on VAL manager, hoping there's an upload or transfer option but can't see it ?

No problem with doing them one at a time just need to know the process to follow.

Thanks

Open VAL Manager. Pick the destination switch. Click 'Actions' then 'Copy/Delete Audio Files'. It will show you all of the files on the VAL board and all of the files on your PC. Click the 'Change Directory' button and go to the directory where the files are that you want to upload. Click '>>' and all of the files in that folder on your PC will be uploaded.

Use the copy/delete annoucment files option. You can copy the files from your pc to the val board.

Thanks for that both of you - I just saw that dreaded 'delete' word and didn't want to go there :)

Thanks again.
