I am new to MicroStrategy, and have a very basic question to ask.

I have created a new report on dektop which resides in the following folder:

MicroStrategyTutorial/Public Objects/Reports

How do I upload this report so it can be viewed in MicroStrategy Web? I can see all of the other folders and reports, but not my new report!

Make sure to check the permissions on the report. Creating a report in desktop and making it available in web is as easy as putting it in the right folder.

Browser should not be caching anything (the page is set to no cache).

As Reisw mentioned, I would think it's a permission issue (right click on the report in Desktop, select properties, make sure "Everyone" has at least "View" privileges). Make also sure that those same users have access to the objects inside the reports (i.e. attributes, metrics,....). If you "moved" the report from your personal folder to the "public objects" folder, it is very likely that it kept the "default" ACL of your personal objects (i.e. only you can see it/them). Same thing will happen for the metrics/filters/... you created in your personal folder.
You also need to make sure that those other objects are in folders that the user can traverse/access....
If you are familiar with NT/Unix file system rights, then it is the same thing!

There is no such thing as a "Web Report" or a "Desktop Report", every user regardless of the interface they use see the same things as long as they have the rights to access it (them).
