Hi All

We have had a demo of a professionally recorded auto attendant message in MP3 format. I have converted it to WAV (PCM) 16Bit Mono using AVS Audio Converter and to .VBK using Call Pilot Player 4.04.04.18 however when you dial the number and listed to the recording it doesn’t sound very good!

Does anyone have any advice on how to best convert the MP3 to retain as much clarity as possible?

Many thanks

From an earlier post of mine.

You need to install the Desktop software that is on the CD.
Once installed you will find Call Pilot Player program used to convert WAV to VBK files.
Once the wavs are converted then use the import feature from the Call Pilot programming browser.
Wav files must be recorded as:
Bit rate 8 khz
Audio sample size = 16 bit
Channels - 1(mono)
Audio Format -PCM

If the file is already recorded then open the wav and re save it with the above settings......if the Import feature does not like the file then use another program to re save it as not all programs do well.

I found Roxio wav player works great.

So could be your Bit rate or the player/recorder you use since the rest seems like your on track.

there is a company we use for pro recordings, when they do the recording, it is broken into all recordings, grtg vs AA or CCR.
ON HOLD MARKETING if that is who you use, has a connector that marries up to the handset, bingo bongo bango really easy

Thanks curlycord, I asked them re send using the info you provided and its worked a teat.

Thanks again!
