i want to uplink one switch to another and i just want to double check on the correct procedure...
can u tell me if this is correct (so far):-
1..switch off server
2..install switch
3..uplink from one switch to another (do i use a cross over cable here?)
4..switch on server

WHAT NEXT?

Will the server automatically see and install the 2nd switch?

What about IP addresses etc?

Would appreciate any information on this :)

Would there be any point in ghosting the server image beforehand just incase anything goes wrong?

350 Needs IP address only for management.
For default config it is Plug and Play.
Do you have any MDA module?? if not Connect two switches with Crossover cable.

If the switches are in the same cabinet use an MDA cable. Daisy chaining switches using UTP should be avoided if possible. The difference in speed should be enough to swing it. 2.6gbps compared to 100mbps.
