Upgrading WSS to SPS

I have just set up WSS for my company intranet (including customising the css and graphics and adding lots of content) but now wish to upgrade to SPS. Can anyone tell me whether installing SPS will still keep all my settings/set up including the look, navigation and content of the site (I'm hoping so!)?

is it an upgrade, or do you not install portal server on top of WSS?

As I understand it, you do install portal server on top of WSS but to keep all of your current setup requires a little more work, I found this link -
