I am about to upgrade VMpro from R10.0.2 to R10.1.5.

Doe anyone have experience upgrading an OVA-installed VMPro?

There appears to be more than one way to upgrade, and I'm not sure which is best.

1. Boot the ISO/CD on the existing instance and select the "upgrade" option. Not preferred method, per manual.

2. Copy multiple RPM files to the onboard software repository and upgrade using Web Manager.

3. Also, I assume it's necessary to update Linux by uploading files to the "packages" directory. That wasn't clear.

Suggestions welcome. I am curious what others are doing here.

Thanks.

Hi Mate,

I assume this is running as an application server at the moment. Upgrade is fairly easy to be honest. Just log into :7070 and transfer the iso (under the actions tab on the platform view) from the avaya support downloads. Then run the upgrade action and watch the progress bar for half hour or so. Server will reboot then 10-15 mins later you're golden.

Yes -- it's running as an application server.

That was simple. Thanks so much for the help!!
