Hi ! :)

Need some help on this one,

Trying to upgrade the pdm in my pix. Have already upgraded the Pix IOS to 622. I'm using Tftp, after 20 seconds where the pix is uploading is says Out of memory, image not installed. What should I do to upgrade the PDM to the newest version ? Are there a way to first delete the existing pdm bin file ???

TIA

HI.

I never had that problem with 501.
What is the exact command that you used?
(copy tftp flash:pdm)?
Do you have a pdm-xxx.bin file with a size of about 4mb or something else?

Try to erase the pix configuration file (after having a good backup of course).

I did never try it, but maybe this trick will work:

(Clear the saved config, but without reloading so the configuration is still active):
write erase
copy tftp flash:pdm
(And if it works, or not, save the running config again):
write mem

You can look for more answers here:

Please let us know what you found.

Hi Yizhar (and others reading this),

I've now used the copy tftp flash:pdm and is working now.

The problem was that i was using the copy tftp flash command without the :pdm

Thanks for the Answer Yizhar !!
