I am upgrading a Mics from 6.0 to 7.1. I have the upgrade kit which consists of two upgrade cards. One is labeled USA MICS XC 7.1 upgrade tool. The other is labeled (v.2507) XC upgrade tool. The confusion is which card is used and when. The instructions that came with the upgrade is very confusing.

Is the current software XC? If not, then use the other.

Sounds like both are for XC software and I wouldn't use either if you currently don't have XC software. Upgrading is not difficult at all.

Oops. You're right. I should have read more carefully. If you're using 6.0XC, you're golden. If not, send it back.
You could just use 6.1 to transition. That's worked well for me in the past.

Just a note about upgrading to 7.1. Previous post's will say to upgrade to 6.1 (using actual 6.1 s/w), but the 7.0 upgrade tool is the 6.1 actual s/w.
