When the customer switched vendors from Bellsouth to Deltacom the pri started randomly dropping. You have to disable the pri card and reenable. Then it works fine for several weeks. Deltacom says they are supplying true NI2 which Bellsouth was not and the Norstar has to be upgraded from 4.1 xc to at least 6.1 xc because of a Nortel tech bulletin. Has anyone heard of this?
1. Will the upgrade work without any special kit? I was told I just had to replace card and power up.
My customer doesn't have the pri enabler codes...they apparently threw them out.
2. Customer has a nam 4.0.04c . Will I have to upgrade it as well?

Thanks,
Bob

The data cartridge needs to be a release 2. Programming should be maintained when going from 4.1 XC to 6.1 XC. No upgrade tool is needed. The NAM must be upgraded to R4.1 to be compatible with 6.1 XC.

It says in the compatibility chart that 5.0 is the last version you can use 4.0VM and 6.0-7.1 say 4.1.But I know for a fact that I have a 4.0.04c on a 6.1.Goodluck.
