upgrading micros e7 v2.1 1

we recently purchased a used micros system off ebay.... we've redone all the menus and interfaces and whatnot. now we're onto setting up the credit card auth and the bank has told me that we need to upgrade to e7 v2.5 or higher. I tried calling micros, but since we did not purchase our system from them they clearly would not help me.

basically what i need to know is; why do i need to upgrade our system in order to run cc auth? And, if so, how cna i do this if i am unable to get the upgrade software from micros.

i am currently running e7 V2.1.1184.0 Patch 4b

new this, new that, and must know their relation.

sample db, I export db .txt file,
lots of them, about 50 or 100 db file.
and lots of db records in each db file.

I must say, is this a HUMAN TOOL ?

anyway, what I want is the simplest approach you can
provide, like:
about 3 .txt db file, so I can .txt edit,
the userpassword, the menuGroup, the menuItem.
and that is it, all else must be some kind of default,

this is a begin idea, or am i asking the impossible ?

I am a programmer, interested in POS systems and database schema. Can anyone point to a micros e7 database manual/doc that describes the database schema? I would appreciate this.

Hey mrpinks3, any chance of getting the e7 3.0 MR2 PC and CAL 15.2 upgrades posted?

Thank you! The first doc you posted refers to 15.2, does 15.1 work with 3.0 MR2?
