I would like to upgrade from Win2k Prof to Win2k Server and would like to know if there are any existing issues that I should be aware of to try and make it a little less painful.

Any comments or tips would be mighty helpful.

Thanks

I dont think its possible to upgrade from Pro to Server, i think you will find it needs a clean install.

Excert from MSCE Training Kit Windows 2000 Server

Windows 2000 Server supports upgrades from Windows NT 3.51 Server, Windows NT Server 4.0, and earlier versions of Windows 2000 Server. If a computer is running versions of Windows NT older than Windows NT 3.51, upgrade to Windows NT Server 4.0 before upgrading to Windows 2000 Server.

My suggestion, get everything off the pro machine you can, f-disk it, then do a clean install. You can install W2K server from the cd or from the 4 boot disks you create during install. The 4 disks work better, seems to load files so that if you need to change something later, you don't need the cd. Good luck. Glen A. Johnson

Reload, reload, reload! Of course, if you want to keep your pro config, dual reboot, dual reboot, dual reboot.
