I have just purchased a new laptop with Home Premium as the OS. I assumed that if I purchased the Ultimate upgrade I would receive an upgrade disc. However, all I have received is a product key and documentation that says that I need to get a Windows Anytime Upgrade disc to upgrade my machine. I have spent hours and many pounds on the phone to both Microsoft and my manufacturer (Dell), and neither of them are able to send me this disc. I am now extremely p*ssed off with the whole thing...how the hell do I get this disc? Should I just ask for a refund?

I've just been through the Microsoft site, and they have an order form for the Anytime upgrade disc.
Does the issueing of a product key (which, I take it is different to the existing vista home premium one) just require you to upgrade on line?

Can you please send me a link for ordering this disc? I have been unable to find it on the Microsoft website.

I got a new dell MCE2005 desktop in Jan and signed up for the £11 upgrade to home premium. See if you are eligable for an upgrade through that though as it may be cheaper.

When I was born I was so suprised I didn't talk for 18 months

Scroll down the page. Under the column with the CD, click on Don't have a disk, order one now. It takes you to the order page. Currency defaults to Euro, but can be changed to GBP

Thanks you ASG0856...the download isn't exactly easy to find...somebody should post this link somewhere to prevent people going through the nightmare I have been through trying to get this frickin disk.

The retail discs have all versiions of Vista included, what gets installed is determined by the key that you use. I've heard (without actual confirmation) that some OEM systems have all versions included already on the hard drive as well. You might not actually need the dvd.
