Upgrading from DR 7.1 FC to XC 7.1 FC 1

Anyone know a good (and tested) procedure for upgrading from DR 71. FC to XC 7.1 FC? I believe the last time I did an upfrade like this I backed up the system, powered off, swapped the flash card leaving the carrier in place and powered on. I don't remember if everything remained in the program or not. Any experence would help. I need to add another expansion card and 4 more SM to this system.

Straight forward. Backup, if you can. Power down. Change the PCMCIA card and power up. Check to make sure everything is still there in programming, then power down again. Insert your second expansion card and power up. Backup again, if you can. Done
If you still have a Rlse1 RAM cartridge, change it to the new Rlse 3 cartridge that comes with the new SW. The old carts were bad news. If this is the case it will change the procedure a little. The cartridges have some programming on them, and it requires a backup and then a restore to keep all the programming.
So new procedure would be backup, power off, change RAM cartridge and keep old 7.0 SW, power on, restore. This will restore programming in the RAM cartridge. Then start over at the beginning and change the SW to the XC

Yep worked like a champ. Lost the PRI's though but I switched them to T-1's then back and they came up. Also looks like PRI-A pool assignments to the sets got lost too.
