Upgrading from 6.1 to 7.1 XC

Does anyone know if there are any issued going from MICS 6.1 NA to 7.1XC. They currently have 1- 6 port fiber expansion and will be adding a secon e6-port expansion. Can I simply power down and change the software cartridge as 6.1 is actually 7.0?

you cant just go from 6.1 or 7.0 to 7.1 ot 7.0 xc from dr you have to put in the same s/w version of xc then upgrade in order to reatin programmin

So, the procedure would be to bring it up to 7.1 from 6.1 and then "a no tool required" software swap to 7.1 XC ??

or bring it to 6.1XC then go to 7.1XC
