I devised the following plan for upgrade both Notes and OS in a Server with OS NT 4.0:

1. Upgrade from 4.6.3 to 5.10 in the Server
2. Upgrade from 4.6.3 to 5.10 in the Clients
3. Upgrade from NT 4.0 to 2000 Server

My supplier of Notes says it is a bad idea, but they are "vultures", their primary concern is "how much" and not the technical solution.

I'm not familiar with Notes, and need advise on this, is this a bad idea or not?

My advice (and I ain't no consultant).

doesn't sound too bad to me, but make sure you test this route in a test environment first before you take on your production environment.

the upgrade on nt from r4 to r5 shouldn't be too hard, there's plenty of information available on how to do that.
