Hi all

We are going to be upgrading from Nortel CCMS 6 to Avaya Aura CC6 and also migrating from Mail to Call Pilot

Mail to Call Pilot is first, and we have a lot of voice prompts

I know that we are going to be migrating data but wondered if anyone had any experience in doing such a thing (not so much of the actual migration as that will be handeld by vendor - but prerequisits or tips would be nice)

Also, I am trying to find some documentatino on how you then use callpilot alongside CCMS. At persent we use Server Utility and VoicePromptEditor to record the prompts via telephone but want to find out how you admin it in future

Thanks

It's a well understood process - just manke sure you have good backups of mail before you start - both the general backup along with the one for your voice prompts.

If you are using voice forms you'll have to rebuild these from scratch as they aren't included in the mirgration.

As for managing your prompts you now get a application called APP BUILDER. You use this to manage your voice prompts. Either by phone or via direct import of wav files

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

I experienced difficulties when you migrate more than 500 voice items.

If 'a lot of voice prompts' is below 500 it will be no problem like mikeyb123 stated.
