I am receiving the 'Invalid TLV Record' while having a user attempt to view a new report I made for them via the ActiveX Viewer for the web.

I'm figuring that I need to have the user upgrade her ActiveX Viewer to the 9.0 model, but how do I do that?

And, is there a way to force every user that tries to see the report to have to install the new version?

I believe you CAN "force" the upgrade by manually registering DLL's, but I dont want to do this to every computer that needs to use the new reports.

If this is within your organization, have your network admin install a one time run for each user that needs it to manually install them. That's what I do but that may not be the way you want to go. Sorry.

By ActiveX viewer do you mean Crystal32.OCX?

That has been an easy way to view reports since CR4. When we got CR7a few years go, CD suggested we should consider migrating our apps to the new RDC object (CRAXDRT.DLL). CR9 only supports the RDC. The OCX is not available for CR9.
