Upgrading a Alpine from 3804 to 3808

i try to "upgrade" a 3804 with a new chassis to an 3808.
If i switch the SMMi i get allways an Platform.type is invalid error.
Is there any hint that i oversee ?

I have had issue with SMMI transplants. I beleive if you access the boot prom and set the configuration back to default then move them that they will be willing to learn their new surroundings. I have not had a chance to test this yet but I know there is a way to get them to accept a new chassis but I think you will lose your setups.
