Upgrading 8.0 - 11.0

Hi

Sorry for the basic question.

I have an ip office v2 8.0 ( 56 ) I need to upgrade to 11.0 latest version.

Just wanted to confirm that you can use the existing older sd card for this.

How many upgrade steps would I need to do before the 11.0 upgrade . Doesnt seem to show you
in the later product release notes.

Don't know which Release Notes you're looking at

The upgrade notes are from page 26 and forward.

I did an upgrade last week from 8 to 11 using the same card, you will need to follow th upgrade steps upgrade to 9, 1 then 10 then 11, by doing so you will preparing the SD card for v11

As long as it is an 8gig SD card, then you can re-use it for R11 (Avaya have recommended not keeping 4gig drives for R11).

Just recreate the SC card to the R11 you want and then take a copy of the config. Rename the config as config.cfg and add it to the primary folder of the SD card.

Turn off the IPO, insert the SD card and let it upgrade. It will step itself through correctly in the one go.
