Hello and thanks for taking the time to ready my post.

I recently upgraded from Crystal 9 to Crystal 9 RAS.

One of my reports is no longer working after the upgrade. When I run the report on my desktop, I receive no errors and the report runs well.

When I run the report via a web app using Crystal RAS v.9, I receive the following error message:

"Logon failed. Details: 28000:[Oracle][ODBC][Ora]ORA-01005: null password given; logon denied Error in File C:\WINNT\TEMP\{D211C4C3-C730-49B2-B2C5-01042728FD1D}.rpt: Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters."

I have narrowed the issue down to one of my subreports (by suppressing each section and re-running the report).

Any ideas as to what may be wrong?

Thanks!

Hi,
Be sure that the same DSN exists on the RAS server as on your desktop ( especially the one used by the troublesome sub..) - If possible, switch to Native Oracle connectivity, it is usually more efficient and eliminates one level of complexity to debug..

Thanks for the response.

Yes, the same DSN exists on the RAS server.

The same SR exists on other reports and is working as expected. What may cause the same SR to work with one report and not the other. All of the connection information and links are the same. Is there any limitation as to the # of SR that each report may have?
