We have an 81 running 4.5 on CP 68060E processors using FIJI fiber boards and Call Pilot release 4. We are considering purchasing Contact Center.

We have some CP PII processors availalble and we are looking for input about upgrading the processors.

Is it worth upgrading to the CP PII processors or should we go for newer processors?

i would only upgrade to the newest rls i could find.. your spending money to delay spending money.

spend the money one time..

We already have the CP PII processors so we'd only be spending our time but I would prefer to only upgrade once.

Still, if you plan to go further than 4.5, you'll need new processors as the CP PII isn't supported in 5.x. Only PIV and CP-PM.

No real point undertaking all the aggrivation and possible problems. Either upgrade fully or leave it as is.

I would upgrade to PIV processors along with 5.0 for call pilot and the reason is that 5.0 did fix issues that were in 4.0 and the PIV processors have no hard drive as they use PCMCIA compact flash cards for the hard drive. No moving parts and less to fail.
