Has anyone had any success in win scp / transferring the rpms to the uc module for update?

i dont know about you guys but google chrome and IE 10 take several tries to get the upgrade to work within the web console.

if anyone knows the location of where the rpms need to be uploaded it would be greatly appreciated since these things can be stubborn at times.

thanks

right now im attempting to do this via opt\AVAYA\VMPro

i am making it readable with the correct commands, will update more

You need to connect with WinSCP and go to the folder /var/cache/Avaya/apps
Put the Avaya rpm's there and they will appear in the webinterface and can be upgraded from there.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

thanks so much i see them now!

Wow thanks tlpeter that was useful need to upgrade a whole bunch of UC Modules.

Yes we have VoIP in Cape Town

im telling you this saved me days of painful chrome upload attempts. the one thing is to be patient after choosing the upgrade all in the web console, it takes a bit of a while then it finishes.

i did three of them at the same time worked flawlessly used newest .97 too.

thanks again tlpeter for this

Another good tip.
I always remove the unused voicemail languages.
Also do not upload these and thus do not upgrade them.
Another 30 minutes saved.

Can you use the manual .rpm method for upgrading from 8.0.x to 8.1.x????

Avaya documentation seems to read that this major of an upgrade requires the USB method.
(I know Avaya documentation and dot releases should always be meet with suspicion.)

Also, if you download the UCM zip....is that everything?

I did it with the Apps server but never tried it with the UCM. I can't see why not as the CentOS is still the same version
