Upgrade to Symposium 4.2

Hi,
We just upgraded to Symposium 4.2 and Succession 3.0. Now some of our agents get loud beeps in the phone when they used to get a quiet beep in the headset. Any ideas? Here is a prt of an agent who is getting this:

It seems that you accidently activated the feature call forcing which can be found in SCCS under "call presentation". This feature usually works together with some Meridian Prompts in LD 23 (FORC and all prompts which point to Call Forcing). Thi has nothing to do with your upgrade!!! Have success.
 
George, did you fix this problem?? We have just upgraded to Suc 3.0 and have the same problem....

Its resolved but I don't remeber what the solution was. I think Norstan upgraded the firmware on the phones, 3900s.
 
you need to apply a patch on the succession not sure the handle number but that is how we have cleared this problem sevral times

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

No, 5.0 is the current SCCS release. Rls. 6.0 (now called Contact Center) will be out in November.
 
Hi, if your agents are using M39XX, pls ld 32 to force download their firmware version when these calls are forced answer.
 
I tried to upload the 3905 firmware with some success. That fixed a few phones. That

The patch that was mentioned above is mentioned in Solution ID: NORT161198. It says to "Install PEP mplr17890." 17890 is already part of
DEPLISTPAK ISS3:1OF2 TERMINALS 18/08/05 p18004a3.cpt, which is on our switch.

I don't know, I guess Nortel will have to figue it out...

Firmware release 18 and 33 provided for that audible tone and it is very annoying. The latest rls (82 I think) gives you the flexibility in the Options menu to restrict it. Check the firmware version for your phones in LD 32. FSUM will give you how many phones have each rls. This is not broken down by individual phone however. It is just a summary. To find out a particular phone you have to use FWVU lscu.
