Hi @ll

We're using EMC² Networker 7.22 on Win2K3 at the moment without problems but our future storage environment could possibly make a upgrade to 7.3.x necessary.
So does anybody here experiences with 7.3.2 already, maybe also with Novell Netware 6.5 Clients ?
All comments and helpful tips wanteded

Thanks in advance

Don't upgrade!....7.3 is not as stable as the other previous version.Especially if you have alphastor and Storage Nodes

We have 7.3.2 running on a W2K3 server since some months.
Also a dedicated storage node.
Without any problems. The "new" NMC (Networker Management Console) is a little bit slow, but that´s java...

Most of our server are W2K / W2K3 / NT, but also our Linux server works fine with the 7.3.2 version.

I hope, this will help.

We upgraded on October 3 from 7.1.1 to 7.3.2 and have had a lot of problems. We run Solaris on our server and storage node. I have 4 cases open with Legato and none have been solved yet. There are errors in the log that I cannot find anywhere on their site, or in the error messages guide for that matter. Remember this is a one way conversion, you can't go back.

You in fact can go back ... if you got a backup of your databases. This is what you always should do in general before you change a running system. In fact, NetWorker will do it for you.

I guess I should have said you can't easily go back.

My statement comes from the release notes for 7.3.2:

When updating to NetWorker release 7.2 or later format, there is no way to revert to a previous release of the NetWorker software. It is a one-way conversion.

Not anymore from Legato, good point.

Do you ever sleep 605? I noticed a post you made in the early morning hours and here you are again! I sure appreciate your assistance, as I'm sure other members do as well. Keep up the good works.

Thanks for your friendly note. Yes, i do .. from time to time. But it is my work and your questions which keep me awake ;-)
