Hello,
I am doing a dot upgrade this weekend from CM 3.0.1 to 3.1.4 and I wanted to see if there are any techincal issues anyone has run into. It should be straight forward but I thought I would throw it out to everyone.

Thanks for your help

should be no issues at all, read the documentation, which basiclly has you "lock" the translations for upgrade on the active server, then upgrade the standby server (apply the CM 3.1.4 patches and make upgrade permanent), then interchange (this causes the entire system to reset, and makes the server you just upgraded active), now upgrade the old active server (now standby), apply patches, make upgrade permanent, and you are all set.

I went through this a little while back. It was very painless. It is actually call preserving. I lost dial tone for about 45 seconds while the processors swapped.

The only thing(s) that got me was a couple of new features that you will find if you are turning off COR's and if you have hospitality features turned on.

The COR's field will go from 99 to 999 so the access codes change to 009 lets say from 09. The number of Characters on digital sets also increase (I guess for IP sets) with this upgrade. Most people will never see it. But if you are using hospitality features and have these Characters in set positions, this will off set them. You will have to go to the systems parameter features form, and activate
7405ND Numeric Terminal Display? y .

This will put them back in the order they were.

3.1.5 is available for download on the support site together with the first patch, was released earlier this month

I have just upgraded 4 servers from 3.1.4 without issue
