Upgrade s8300 - CD drive required?

If I am upgrading an s8300 do I need the CD drive or can I just upload the software from my PC using the web browser?

I used a USB CD drive. It was on sight already. Not sure about the upload via laptop.

No, you can put the CD in your laptop and use TFTP to do the upgrade.
