Depends on how much modules.
I always do the modules first.
If there are lot of modules then Avaya recomments to do the modules first.

Can't find it anymore but i did read it somewhere that if you have a lot of modules and a big config then you better do it in a couple of steps.
So first start with a couple of modules and then a couple more and then the ipo.

With digi modules, there is a rumour that avaya still haven't got to the bottom of the issues - it has been suggested that if you upgrade a digi 16 or 30 module from any version to any otehr version (including same family 4.2.x to 4.2.y) then use the 3.2.999 sub build first - evry time!

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.
I do the processor separately but that is because I started with release 1.3 and that needed DTE intervention if you sneezed while upgrading or someone slammed the door.
That made me very cautious what I am doing and I have never changed a running system, aka upgrade the processor separately. But as for which part first it doesn't really matter as far as I can tell.
Matt
I have done lots of upgrades 4.x to 4.x or 5.0 without that step and I have no issues at the moment (I hope that doesn't come back to bite me tomorrow afternoon ;-) )
makes sense matt (not the fact you have to do it, but your comment ). i have had to re step modules to clear issues, even though i know they were done on install, because i was the one that installed it.
Doing the processor as last will save another reboot to register the modules to the ipo

You don't need to reboot more than once if you do them all at the same time either.....good to see we have given Avayell a clear and concise answer to his/her question
In the end he or she can decide which way to go (as long as it is our way )
