Upgrade Pre Reqs 2

Hi

We are upgrading our phone system from version 8.1 (65) to version 11 due to our current phones 1616L being end of life so we have replaced them with J179 which require your IP Office to be version 11 or above. I know first we have to check with our Business Partner if we have an upgrade license which I am in the process of doing but before upgrading I wanted to check if our existing EOL phones will work with the newest version?

I have had a look on google but couldn't see anything saying it shouldn't work, but thought I would check here just incase anyone knows of any issues when upgrading to 11 with these phones, by all means if there is anything I have missed on upgrading other than doing the following

- backing up the configuration and binaries prior to upgrade.
- check the system status so when we do upgrade no one is on the phone or use the reboot when available option.
- check the phones are working after upgrade.

16XX handsets are still supported, again your business partner should be providing all the advice required & managing this upgrade for you.




Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
