I have a Opt. 81 and am looking to upgrade to Succession 3.0, I've been quoted two different parts though and not sure which is better or even needed. One tells me that I will need to change out the card cage because of the pentium proccessor. The other tells me I don't need to change out the cage becasue their using a 68060E 160MB call proccessor CP4? Can anyone tell me which is either right or if one is better than the other? Thanks.

it would be best to upgrade to the pent. but you can keep the old card cage and change to the 68060E 160MB.. if your going to fugi at anytime in the future you'll need the pent anyway.. the chaeapest way would be to upgrade the the 60e, the best way for long term growth would be to spend the money for the pentium...

fiber ingetface cards for your switch, replaces the backplane cables for most connections and removes the igm cab for an 81c.. a must for larger apps.. i am having to go that way now because of the need for a 6th network..
