Hi folks, I have a client with a MICS running 7.0 XC software. I need to add a second 6-port fiber expansion module and need all 6 ports, including the two ports that 7.0 apparently restricts for Companion.... I need to be able to use all 6 new fiber ports for a mix of ASMs, 0x16s and 12x0s. I understand that I need to upgrade the software to 7.1 XC.
Question: I have a "previously enjoyed" 7.1 XC software card from an off-lease system.... If I swap my current customer's 7.0 XC to this previously enjoyed 7.1 XC, will I loose my current customer's settings ? IE: when doing an upgrade from 7.0 XC to 7.1 XC, does the 7.1 have to be brand new or can it be previously enjoyed.
Thanks in advance ! dave in Toronto

Just remember that the 2nd fiber card is used for stations only. No trunks mods on ports 9-14.
