Hi,

i´m about to do an upgrade to 6.0 sp3.
the backup from the web interface fails and then i tried to do it using the software installer. the software installer failed to and told me to do a reset system and then try the backup again. After the reset system the system wont go up and i do not reach the login webpage. the only thing i can do is to ping the system ip but nothing else.

anybody that has meet this problem before and found a solution to it. for the moment the only access i have to the system is by team viewer. Hopefully there is something that can be done?

Regards UO

Sounds a bit like a hard disk failure.....:(

You may have to get to site and plug into the console and see where its getting to in the boot. I have had one instance where the PRI card failed and it wouldn't boot but after removing the card it booted fine. Found by seeing hwere the boot failed via the console.

Yes, i will be at site in the morning. We had a another customer that hade the exact same trouble and in that case the database was totally crashed when we got in to the system. I don´t know it it is the software installera that doeas something with the system

well more information tomorrow.

Not being able to back it up from ESM (the web interface) is a big sign of trouble. Next time take a peek in the maintenance logs and see if you can decipher why the backup failed. Could be a fried drive, could be something else.
