Hello, has anyone performed such an in-place upgrade? I installed the web edition on our server only to discover SQL Server Enterprise edition is not compatible with the web edition. Now I want to upgrade the server to Windows Server 2003 Standard edition but I do not want to lose any data/IIS settings/configurations. Anyone know if this is possible?

Thanks in advance!
Sharon

Save your self some money and go with SQL Standard Edition. Unless you are using the advanced features of Enterprise Edition Standard Edition will work just fine.

sorry, my mistake, I meant SQL Server 2000 Standard Edition. 2K3 Web Edition will not let me install this (only MSDE). I want to do an in place upgrade from Web Edition to Standard Edition. Thanks and sorry for the confusion!
