Our SX-200 has bought the farm. Is it possible to do an upgrade from a 200 to a 3300 or does everything have to be re-programmed from scratch?

Also to connect to bays, do we need an ASU?

Thanks

Reprogram from scratch

If you are particularily skillful with excel and you have a CDE capture file of the SX200 programming, a lot of the programming can be done with Importing forms.

Bay connections are via CIM or FIM ports. Depending on how many bays you have and what type of connection (FIM/CIM) and what type of 3300 controller you may or may not require CIM/FIM modules.

The SX200 bays MUST have BCCIII cards and be of the ELX type (4 serial connections on the back - Maint, Printer, J10 and J11)

Follow kwbMitel's advice. The one point I would make is that I have had a few issues when trying to import forms to the 3300. Best method I have found is export the form from the 3300, fill it out and import it back again.

Not trying to sound like a mutual admiration society but LoopyLou's suggestion is the method I use.
