Hi Guys,

We are about to upgrade a BCM 400 from 3.1 to 4.0. We have the CD's and when putting the 3.01 to 3.6 disk into a PC it comes up a dialog box titled 'Expired Upgrade' and followed by 'The version of the upgrade has expired. Please contact support for an updated version'

Has anyone come across this before? How did you get around it?

We have been advised by our support people to put the date back on our laptop/PC and proceed with the upgrade. We are a bit cautious as we don't know if it will impact things down the line.

Your thoughts and comments are much appreciated.

You have to change the date on the BCM back to something like some month/day/2003. I forget the exact time but try 2003 first and then go back further if necessary.

not on the bcm... just change it on the pc where you're trying to run the upgrade

The 3.6 upgrade will have expired too so keep your PC backdated and you'll be fine.
