Upgrade \ Expansion MICS 6.1 to 7.1

Customer decided to replace their Prostar system with a used system they aquired from the home office.

They sent a MICS 6.1, NVRAM Rls 1, NAM 4.0, T1 card with PRI code, 6 port fiber combo, etc. And decided to add (12) ASM
From my recommendations (but they did purchase parts on the internet), they are upgrading to XC 7.1, NVRAM Rls 2, Call Pilot 2.1, adding a 2nd 6-port fiber card.

Don't need to retain programming BUT want to make sure I don't do anything to cause Sys ID to change (i do have keycodes to re-enter).

What sequence would you upgrade \ expand?

Swap NVRAM and XC 7.1, boot up and make sure work OK, then add 2nd 6-port fiber and all maodules?

Correct. Upgrade the software first, then add the second 6-port card. When that has come up successfully, add the additional modules. The Call Pilot needs to be at R3.0 or higher to be compatible with the MICS 7.1.

Swap the NVRAM and use the 6.1 first. Then change over to 7.1.
