Upgrade client to SMS 2003 SP1

Hi

Despite know very little about SMS I have been given the task of upgrading all our client PCs to SMS 2003 SP1, at present the clients have various different builds of SMS 2003.

What would be the best way to roll out the newer version? My bos suggested using group policy to install the new client, but that doesn't seem to work. Is it possible to package up the new client and use SMS to roll it out?

Any advice or links to articles would be very much appreciated.

Hi,
Do not deploy the SMS client using GPO (wrong), first of all upgrade the Primary site to SMS 2003 SP1 and push the client installation again (with Repair/upgrade Option)
