Yes but why. The 2900 is going end of support, you might want to go with the 3750 in place of the 2900

The latest layer 2 switch is the 2960 , that is what you should use , a 3750 is overkill and you wont like the price if you just need a layer 2 switch . If you want a layer 3 switch then use a 3560 .

THis is a crazy request? He might even mean can you use a 2900 IOS on a 1900 hence the upgrade term..???Not quite sure how to assist on that one. You can UPGRADE to whatever you want if you have the money. What are your requirements so that we may assist you better
