I tried to upgrade BCM 3.7 to BCM 4.0
I was unable to run pre-check upgrade tool successfully.
The pre-check failed because Existing Call Detail Recording storage exceeds 200 megabytes on BCM 3.7.
Is there a way to remove existing data from a storage and limited to 200 megabytes?

Thanks

u have to connect to the serial port and get yourself to the dos prompt. I'll have to find the Nortel bulletin that says which files to remove.

Go into your D: drive on the BCM & delete all the files with record.ccr,record.HG or record.mbx.

(D:\>cd data files\nortel networks\call detail recording

D:Data Files\Nortel Networks\Call Detail Recording>dir

D:Data Files\Nortel Networks\Call Detail Recording>del record*.*

You can just do a del *.* at that directory pccal.
You'll get an error about one file, which is the one that is currently collecting records. But, it will delete all of the other files.
If the customer is using CDR, the delete process really becomes time consuming as you have to determine which records you can delete and which you have to keep.
