Has anyone got a procedure they follow when upgrading a 3300?

What should I know about NSU and IMAT when upgrading?

What should I take a manual note of when upgrading?

Any help really appreciated.

Items that you should take note of are in the release notes of the software version that you are upgrading to. As for NSU and IMAT what you need depends on the release.

As for preferred method, manual always works, and the software installer only works in certain releases. You can find instructions in the tech handbook which is located on the software CD used to upgrade the PBX.

Hello

It depends on what you are using your NSU for.

If you are using it for PRI or Q-Sig read the notes very carefully as the database nearly always gets corrupted on the NSU and requires a full flash upgrade.

A little tip that sometimes works though is to remove the fibre connect between the 3300 and NSU upgrade the 3300 once 3300 is back up and running re connect the NSU and sometimes the NSU downloads the new firmware no problems.

If you are running DASS2 or DPNSS on your NSU then there is nothing to do as you are not actually using the database anyway.
