I HAVE A CUSTOMER WANTING TO UPGRADE A 3300 LX CONTROLLER TO MCD 4.0. DO I HAVE TO UPGRADE THE CONTROLLER TO AN MXe TO RUN MCD? CUSTOMER IS CURRENTLY RUNNING 7.1 ON LX CONTROLLER

Most LX controllers MAX out at 9.0

Late edition LX controllers might be upgradable but only if they already have 512 Mb of RAM memory.

Check the form - System Hardware Compute Cards - to see which you have.

Occam's Razor - All things being equal, the simplest solution is the right one.

Some LX controllers came with 512MB of ram. Check controller part number on the label on bottom of the controller. P/N 50004942 has the correct 512MB of ram for MCD software. P/N 50004191 has only 256MB of ram and will need to be replaced with a MXe.

AND STOP YELLING!

There may be no i in team but there are three f's in fudge off.
