Updation of Fact table

Hi,
How to Update a big fact table having 13 dimensions and Millions of rows using informatica with optimum Performance? One thing i was pondering upon is that is it a good practise to use a fact table as Lookup table?
Please answer this ASAP

If you can avoid using fact table as a lookup table it will give u better performance. It also always unadvisable to use fact table as a lookup.
