Updating windows group policy

I like to create a vb script that would updates the
Local COmputer Policy
Computer Configuration
Windows settings
Scripts
Startup

with C:\windows\abc.bat, so that i dont have to open gpedit.msc GUI.

I googled and i didnt get any relevant answers. Any ideas?
 
I think you will find it infinately easier to modify the local registry and simply add it to the Run command.

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

True. But I still need the script that would modifyu the group policy. That is our standard.
 
Modifying a local policy is a bad "policy." If anything, you should use a group policy from AD which has native support for startup scripts or login scripts.

You can also modify the registry via AD GPO using a free AD add in:

Agree. But I still need the script that would modify the local group policy with no add ins. it could be WMI or just a VB Script etc.
