I'm having trouble updated the UCM OS. Under the Updates page, I have updated all the services without any problems. However, under the System, it shows updates available. I can review these and select one or many, and they will appear to install. At leaset the Status changese to "INSTALLING..." However, it doesn't seem to change anything, and the status returns to "updates available."

I've tried stopping the "Voicemail" & "one-x-portal" Services while attempting to install. I've tried rebooting. I've tried IE9, Firefox. All with no success.
Any advice for troublshooting would be appreciated.

make sure you make your timeout 1 hour not the default 5 minutes as then it might time out before it does anything

The files did complete the uploading process. When I select an update to install, it status changes to "Installing..." for about 20 seconds, then the window closes. But when you refresh the page, the update still shows available.

you can always upgrade them one by one, start with the webinterface so that way you will not lose connectivity after you upgraded that and reconnected.

I just upgraded my apps server today and it took about 30 min and then it came up (upgrade all) but the webinterface needed to get upgraded separately.

The Apps upgrade processes flawlessly. It's only the OS that doesn't seem to apply. The actual OS upgrade that is present in the Avaya download uploads to the UCM properly. It then indicates that the OS has upgrades to apply. And you can select them and apply. But that's where it seems to not work.

Here is the window under UPDATES:
OS CentOS
Version Linux release 6.0 (Final)
Kernel Version 3.0.4-0.appscard.el6
Last Update 2013-04-04 21:59:00
Status updates available

And here is the next screen indicating the updates to select:

Name Version
centos-release.i386 10:5-7.el5.centos
device-mapper.i386 1.02.63-4.el5
device-mapper-event.i386 1.02.63-4.el5
lvm2.i386 2.02.84-6.el5
nss.i386 3.12.8-4.el5_6
Obsoleting Packages
nss_ldap.i386 253-42.el5
pam_ldap.i686 185-5.el6

To be honest i have never updated the OS itself.
It never worked at all or at least not for me.

BAZINGA!
